Cut or Record video clips using Vlc media player

Step 1 » Open VLC media player

Step 2 » Then choose View menu and click Advanced controls.

Step 3 » Now you will see four advanced buttons above the normal play/pause button.

Step 4 » Play any video you want to cut/record. Then click the first button from the left called the Record button.

Step 5 » Again presses the Record button when you want to stop the recording.

Step 6 » The clip will be automatically saved in your Libraries - Videos folder in Windows 7.

Record Desktop Activities using VLC player

Step 1 » Open the VLC media player.

Step 2 » Click Media on the top and Choose Open Capture Device...

Step 3 » Choose Capture Device tab on the top

Step 4 » Then choose Desktop from Capture mode

Step 5 » Change the value Desired frame rate for the capture from 1.00 f/s to 10.00 f/s and click Convert option in the Play button. 

 

Step 6 » Click Browse button and select location and type file name with any one extension like .ps, .ts, .mpg, .ogg, .asf, .mp4, .mov, .wav, .raw, .flv, .webm and click save.

Step 7 » And selectthis tool and click video codec tab.

Step 8 » Then change the Bitrate from 0 kb/s to 2000 kb/s and click save button.

Step 9 » Finally clicks the start button. After clicking start this can record your desktop. After completing record just close VLC player (Don’t click stop button).
